The VWF cafe is an example of what every ESO can be and should be. Pragmatic, veteran focused and passionate. PK and his team have done a terrific job setting it up in a prime location too. Very excited to see what comes next.

“The Veteran Wellbeing Foundation (VWF) change the lives of Veterans and their families each and every day.
At the time that Veterans truly needs support, the team roll up their sleeves and they listen, really listen.
Then they work on outcomes.
They connect the Veteran with many the right support services and service providers that they need. Most importantly, they are connected with providers who truly understand DVA and know what DVA needs from them.
Many of those service providers are located at the hub. This means that for many Veterans, it greatly cuts down on the travel time going to providers at different locations. So many services that a Veteran requires is all at the one location at the VWF hub.
While located at Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast, the foundation is regularly contacted from Veterans across Australia. This tells me that the service that VWF provides, is desperately needed not just at the Sunshine Coast, but across Australia.
The Veterans Wellbeing Foundation is a small charity that receives no ongoing Government funding. Instead, VWF delivers on its mission by working in partnership with individuals and who share their commitment to support Veterans.
Peter Kennedy (PK) and the team aren’t about applause and don’t seek pats on the back. They are about making real meaningful action for Veterans. They do it because there is a desperate need to support Veterans post service in a better way.
We acknowledge their work to guide Veterans with practical solutions. If you are a Vet who needs support, get in contact with them or drop by. VWF will be there for you when you need it.”

I originally attended one of the VWF monthly breakfast and was openly welcome by PK and his staff. Not only was I welcomed, those that attended were from many different areas that deal with DVA regularly. The information provided and guidance offered allowed me to fast track many areas of claims but also apply for other assistance that I had no idea about. I would highly recommend making yourself known in this tight and very efficient group.
